Welcome to Aeona AI: Roleplay and Companion. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our AI companion services, including our proactive check-in and avatar generation features.
Important: Google API Limited Use Disclosure
Aeona AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, we use Google Sign-In data (Email and Profile Name) solely to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the app. We do not sell, trade, or use your Google user data for advertising purposes.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Data: Email address and username obtained via Google Sign-In.
- Selfies & Images: We process provided photographs ("Selfies") to create a text-based prompt for our AI generation partners.
- Chat Content: We collect conversation text to maintain your history and provide service continuity.
B. Automated & Contextual Data Collection (2026 Features)
- Background Location: With explicit consent, we collect precise location data even when the app is closed. This is used strictly for "Proactive Presence" (e.g., welcoming you home).
- Physical Activity: We use the Activity Transition API to detect status (Still, Walking, In-Vehicle) to ensure Aeona initiates conversation only at appropriate times.
- Device Information: Model, OS version (Android 12-16), and identifiers for performance optimization.
- Advertising ID: Used for analytics and showing relevant ads via the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Proactive Engagement: Triggering AI-generated check-ins based on sensors.
- Avatar Generation: Mapping traits from selfies to digital characters.
- Foreground Data Sync: Using
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC to reliably download AI assets.
3. AI Processing & Third-Party Sharing
We partner with specialized AI providers. Data is shared securely with:
- OpenRouter: Text prompts sent via secure API.
- Pollinations.ai: Visual prompts for avatar generation.
No Training Policy: Our partners do not use your private chats to train public models when accessed through our secure API.
4. AI Transparency (2026 Standards)
- Non-Human Interaction: You are interacting with a synthetic entity.
- AIGC Labeling: Images are digitally marked as AI-generated content (AIGC).
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Account Deletion: You may delete your account in Settings. Data is scrubbed within 30 days. Location and activity data are processed ephemerally and not stored permanently.
6. Physical Activity Data & Sensor Usage
- Aeona accesses: "Physical Activity" data via the Android ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION permission.
- How we use it: This data allows our AI models to understand the user's physical context (e.g., whether the user is walking, running, or stationary) to provide contextually relevant conversational responses and personalized interactions.
- Data Handling: This movement data is used solely for core app functionality. It is not used for advertising purposes, nor is it sold or shared with any third-party brokers.
- Retention: Activity data is processed [select one: locally on your device OR on our secure servers] and is kept only as long as necessary to maintain your AI’s continuity.
7. Age Requirements
Aeona AI is strictly for individuals aged 18 and older.
8. Speech Recognition
Aeona uses on-device speech recognition. Your voice data never leaves your phone and is never sent to our servers for transcription.
