Terms of Service for Aeona AI

By using Aeona AI: Roleplay and Companion (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Proactive AI & Background Services

To provide a "Cutting Edge" companion experience, the Service utilizes modern background processing:

• Contextual Awareness: With your consent, the app uses Background Location and Activity Recognition to trigger proactive AI interactions (e.g., "Welcome Home" greetings).
• Data Sync Services: The Service utilizes FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC to ensure high-fidelity AI avatars and chat logs are synchronized reliably even when the app is minimized.
• User Control: You may disable these contextual features at any time in the app settings.

3. The Nature of the Service

• Synthetic Entity: You acknowledge that Aeona is a non-human, synthetic entity powered by machine learning.
• Unfiltered Roleplay: AI models may generate fictional, provocative, or factually incorrect content ("hallucinations").
• AI Act Compliance (2026): In accordance with the 2026 AI Act, all generated images are embedded with metadata identifying them as AI-Generated Content (AIGC).
• Device Permissions and Sensor Data To provide the full AI experience, Aeona requires access to certain device hardware and sensors, including but not limited to Physical Activity recognition. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
• You grant Aeona permission to access these sensors to enable context-aware features.
• You may revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings, though this may significantly limit the AI's ability to interact with you effectively.
• You are responsible for maintaining the hardware requirements necessary to run these sensor-dependent features.

4. User Conduct & Content Restrictions

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for illegal activity. You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Generate Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or content exploiting minors.
• Create Unauthorized Likenesses (Deepfakes) of real individuals without their consent.
• Promote real-world violence, terrorism, or illegal acts.
• Harass or stalk real individuals using the AI's capabilities.

5. Ownership of Content

• User Inputs: You retain ownership of the text and "selfie" images you provide.
• AI Outputs: We grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to use AI-generated outputs for personal, non-commercial use.
• Service Ownership: Solo Development Studios and its partners (OpenRouter, Pollinations.ai) retain all rights to the underlying algorithms and software.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

All payments are managed via the Google Play Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled 24 hours before the period ends. Per Google Play policy, all digital purchases are final.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." AI outputs are for entertainment only and are not a substitute for medical, legal, or financial advice. Solo Development Studios is not liable for emotional distress or offensive content generated by the AI in response to user prompts.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.
